A Lie

In one of the Seinfeld episodes, Jerry’s trying to convince a friend, that he didn’t watch a particular soap opera, one that the cool kids would never watch.

His friend says that he ought to take a polygraph, and he agreed. Jerry asked his rather shady friend, George Costanza, to help him beat the machine, and George says, some things can’t be taught, but that Jerry should remember that a lie isn’t a lie, if you believe it.

Oh yes it is. Jesus said he would tell us the truth and the truth would set us free. That’s the truth.
