Avoiding Pain

In an effort to avoid pain, we’re dead…but just not buried yet. Go out, live, and play.
Maybe you’ve heard that old song about being tired of living and afraid of dying.
That’s the problem with a lot of folks, me included on occasion. In our effort to avoid pain, we died too soon, we just haven’t been buried yet.
Someone has said that we tend to stay away from mourning and from dancing, too afraid to cry and too shy to dance.
We belong to God, let’s mourn, but let’s dance too. In other words, Jesus said, go out and play. Even if you get hurt, I’ve got your back, cry, laugh and dance. It’s called living.
