Beloved Child

Have you ever noticed how a small child who falls doesn’t cry until he or she is picked up by his or her mom or dad?

There’s the fall, the pain, the silence, the rescue and then the tears.

We’re like that too. Don’t let them see you cry or sweat, what will they think?, put on your big girl panties and buck up.

Then Jesus comes and says, come here child. In his arms, it’s safe to cry. I’m a guy and everybody knows that real men don’t cry. But between you and me, when Jesus comes, I sometimes shed tears. And if you say, I said that, I’ll say you lied.
