Never feed children watermelon just before bedtime.

One summer, my wife and I were camp counselors for a cabin with a group of five and six year old boys.

We learned profound things like never feed children watermelon just before bed, if you want to get any sleep.

I remember at dinner one night, little Billy asked me to guess what was in his pocket. I said, Billy don’t tell me you’ve got a snake in your pocket. Oh no. He said, I mean the other pocket. Always check little boy’s pockets.

We also learned about love and the principle, you can mess up almost everything, and if you love children, that will make up for what you messed up.

I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
