Cliff Jumpers

Are you ready to jump? If you must, Jesus will be at the foot of the cliff, ready to bind up your wounds.
I’m a Christian leader and I stand by a cliff.
People dance there, don’t do that, I sometimes say, that’s a dangerous place and people get hurt, and they jump, happens over and over again.
Sometimes they even thank me and laud my wisdom, before they jump. Then I finally give up and walk over to the cliff, and jump myself. What’s with that?
Well, it’s a metaphor for sin. Jesus likes cliff jumpers. At the right time, he died for them. Then he binds up their wounds and he loves them. I still stand by the cliff, but Jesus stands at the foot of it.
