A young pastor once confessed to me that he had preached a sermon, I had preached.

I left out the German shepherd, he said, because I don’t have a German shepherd, but other than that, I stole everything else. Do you know what happened? The people in the congregation told me it was the worst sermon I had ever preached.

And he said, I learned that God doesn’t call me to be Steve Brown. He called me to be me. I learned that a long time ago, God didn’t call me to be Billy Graham or the Pope. He called me to be me and you to be you. And just remember, God doesn’t make copies. Okay?
