Fortune Teller

A fortune teller said to her client one time, you’ll be poor, unhappy, and lonely until you’re 40.

Good heavens, he said, then what? The fortune teller smiled and said, then you’ll get used to it.

You feel that way sometimes? Stop it. Bad things happen to everybody, but don’t forget that good things happen too, but here’s a secret you know if you’re a believer. Both of them are controlled by a God who loves you, even when it doesn’t feel like it.

That’s why the Scripture says to give thanks for everything. If it’s bad, don’t get used to it, but remember that your Father knows what he’s doing and he does it right well.
