Of course, you’re not good or obedient enough. Jesus will love you anyway.
I’ve actually heard people who are reading the Bible for the first time say, this is crazy.
If you’re there, you probably thought, good heavens, I can’t do all of this, I’m just not that good, I’m not that obedient, I’m not that pure.
Hey, before you give up your Bible reading, let me give you the good news.
Of course you’re not good or obedient enough. When you get that, you’ve got it. Only then do you become more good and obedient because you know if you don’t, Jesus will love you anyway. That’s called the gospel and it’s old news and new news and good news.
