God's Not Mad at You
Guilt’s Purpose

Guilt’s Purpose

SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

/ Programs / You Think About That / Guilt’s Purpose

Do you ever feel guilty? It leads to forgiveness.

Do you ever feel guilty? You think about what you did or said or thought and you blushed. Do you know the purpose of guilt? No. It’s not making you nicer. The purpose of guilt is to drive you to God who will always forgive you.

They say that the lepers don’t lose hands and fingers because of their disease. It’s because the disease takes away the pain. Hot stove doesn’t feel so hot. And the cut is never noticed until it’s too late. Be thankful for the guilt, it’s pain should be welcomed because it’s the first step to God. When you get there, thank him for the forgiveness and the guilt.

I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
