Hearts & Hands
DECEMBER 28, 2020
If your heart is like my heart… give me your hand.
John Wesley and George Whitfield, two of the leaders of the great evangelical awakening were in disagreement about a lot of things. Sometimes they didn’t even speak to each other, but when George Whitfield died, he wanted Wesley to do his funeral. And that’ll mess with your head. I’ve got a lot of Christian friends with whom I disagree about politics, theology and the color of church, pews.
But if John and George could resolve it, I suppose I can too. Wesley said, if you’re a heart, be as my heart, give me your hand. I guess that’s more important than politics or the color of the pew.
I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
