When things look bleak and hopeless, they aren’t.

History teaches lessons.

A famous historian was once asked what he had learned from a lifetime of studying history.

He said four things, first, those whom the gods would destroy, they first made mad. Secondly, the wheels of God grind very slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine. Third, the bee fertilizes the flower from which it robs. And finally, I’ve learned that when it gets dark enough, you can see the stars.

Good and true lessons from history. And also good to remember when things look bleak and hopeless, they aren’t. God is working even when sometimes it doesn’t feel like it.

I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
