It Balances Out

I have a friend who recently defended me to a preacher who said some negative things about me.

He suggested that I write to the preacher and straighten him out. I’m not doing that, I said, with uncommon wisdom. I get a lot of criticism I don’t deserve. But then, I get a lot of praise I don’t deserve, too. And it sort of balances out.

It does you know, and not only that, neither matters. What matters is what Jesus thinks of me. He likes me a lot. You too.

I don’t know about you, but that causes me to not give a rip about the other comments.
