Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was 43 and he was commissioned by the Duke of Milan to paint the Last Supper.

When he showed it to the Duke, the Duke commented on the magnificence of the cup. Da Vinci turned and brushed it out and said nothing should detract from Christ.

A lot of things do, don’t they? Sometimes even good things like work and church. Stop sometimes when you’re busy with either and pray, Lord Jesus, don’t let me miss you when I’m distracted and busy. Don’t let me miss the soft sound of sandaled feet.
