What have you done to get God to allow you into heaven?

Been a good person, given to charity, been a good father or mother, wife or husband. Haven’t killed anybody. That’s one half a point. And you need a thousand. What else have you done? You’re kidding, right? Actually, I’m not. Good Lord, you’re thinking. Have mercy. You’ve got it. That’s all.

When you get before the throne, just say, Lord, have mercy on me. Jesus will step up, put his arm over your shoulders and say, Father, I took care of it. Then God will say, welcome home.
