Not My Boots
AUGUST 19, 2024
We’re clothed in Christ’s righteousness, not our own.
It was really cold outside and it was the teacher’s responsibility to help children with their clothing.
This teacher worked for almost 20 minutes to put boots on a little girl. These are not my boots, the little girl said. And after all the work and frustration, the teacher took time getting them off. That’s when the little girl said, These are my sister’s boots, but my mother said I could wear them.
The Bible says.
I’m clothed in the righteousness of Christ. It isn’t my righteousness, it’s His.
But my Father said I could wear it.
I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
