Our Heritage

If you’re a believer, let me give you some advice from the old guy.

Never brag about your heritage.

Abraham lied about his wife saying she was his sister so she could sleep with the king. Joseph was an arrogant twit. Jeremiah was a wuss. Peter was a hypocrite. And Paul couldn’t get along with a whole lot of people, to say nothing of David, a murderer, an adulterer.

I’ve often wondered why God would include those people in his book. I’ve decided that he wanted to remind us about his mercy and kindness, to people who don’t deserve it. That would be me.
