Do you know how oysters and clams produce pearls?

There’s an irritant like sand that gets into the clams and oysters, and as a defense mechanism, they secrete a fluid with layers and layers, and that eventually becomes a pearl. How about that? The irritant becomes the source of the pearl.

That could be what God has in mind with the irritants he allows in our lives. I’m old and old people are already irritated with being old. Takes very little to tick us off. That’s true. But I’ve decided to be a clam. And I’m going to be rich.
