In his book, The Prophet, Gibran has Nicodemus give his witness to Jesus. Nicodemus says.

Do you not remember me, Nicodemus who believed in nothing, but the religious ritual laws and decrees and behold me now, a man who walks with life and laughs with the sun, from the first moment it smiles upon the mountain until it yields itself behind the hills.

There’s a difference, you know, when one’s religion is rules and sourness, it’s not Jesus. He left the building when the laughter stopped. In fact, only the followers of Jesus have anything about which the laugh.
