Remember

Have you ever noticed how often Jesus told his disciples to remember?

Why did he do that? Because we have a tendency to forget. And Jesus was saying, don’t forget to remember.

Remember, for instance, where he found you. Remember the guilt, the darkness, the meaninglessness, the loneliness, the pain. The world says, Have a drink and forget. At the last supper Jesus said, drink and remember. So pause sometimes and ask God to bring back the memories of him.

Remember and be glad.
