Roughing It

There’s a difference between faith and presumption.
I have a friend who’s a camper and likes to rough it.
Now, my idea of roughing, is a cheap hotel and a black and white television. My friend says that when you are a camper and you want to sleep warm at night, you have to carry the sleeping bag during the day.
That’s true of life too. The Bible doesn’t say that God helps those who help themselves, it says he helps those who can’t help themselves and know it.
However, it doesn’t hurt to have a sleeping bag. There is a difference between faith and presumption. I always did better on exams when I studied than I did when I trusted God. And slept better, if I brought a sleeping bag.
