Simple Faith

Two men were sitting next to one another on an airplane.

One asked the other, what he did for a living, the man replied, he was a preacher. The other man said, Reverend, I keep my religion simple, Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so. The preacher then asked the other man what he did for a living, and he replied that he was an astronomer. The preacher smiled and said, I like to keep my astronomy simple too, twinkle twinkle little star.

Listen, there’s nothing simple about astronomy and far less that’s simple about God, but the astronomer had it right, with all of God’s power and greatness, the essence is Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so.
