Thanking God

The lone survivor of a shipwreck washed up onto the shore of a small uninhabited island.

Built a hut and put everything he owned in it.

He prayed every day that God would save him.

And then one day, his small hut caught on fire and burned to the ground.

He shook his fist at God and said, “How could you?!”

The next day, a ship arrived and he was rescued because the captain of the ship had seen the smoke.

You know, it’s hard to praise God when you’re hut’s burning. Do it anyway. The smoke? That could be the very reason for your rescue.

So hang tough and see what God does.
