The Other Sins

I have a friend who said about his grandmother, whom he loved. She was so upset about drinking and smoking, that she ignored all other sins.

We all do that sometimes, don’t we? We generally condemn sins that we think aren’t ours and do it to the exclusion of other sins that are ours. You ought to hear my anti-booze sermon, that’s because I don’t consume adult beverages.

I sound like an Old Testament prophet. On the other hand, I don’t preach so loud about anger, lust, greed, or judging others. Well, I do. I just don’t yell as much and feel kind of like a hypocrite.
