Needy sinners never get God’s door slammed in their faces.
One time Queen Victoria and Prince Albert got into a fight.
Albert got so angry, went to his room, shut the door and he locked it. Queen Victoria furious started banging on the door. Who is it? Asked Albert calmly. Victoria, she said, Queen of England. Who is it? It’s the Queen of England, she replied. Who is it? Albert? It’s your wife, Victoria. He opened the door.
You go to God in arrogance and pride, he’ll shut the door in your face. But if you’re a needy sinner, it’s always open. Don’t believe me? Go check.
