Heroes

I’ve been around a long time.

And most of that time I’ve been looking for a hero. Somebody who always did it right, who’s always wise, who’s really tight with God. I gave it up, they’re just like me. And that could be depressing, but it’s okay.

Jesus said I shouldn’t worship at anybody’s alter but his. I can live with that, besides worshiping anybody but him fouls up relationships.

It’s so much better if those who are loved by Jesus love each other without unrealistic expectations. If you’re as messed up as I am, we could be friends.
