Isn’t the Christian faith about being proper, useful, and nice?
Here’s a marriage proposal offered to a woman who lived in Puritan New England.
I have no foolishness called romance, but we might look forward to leading useful lives and enjoy the respect of the neighbors.
That sounds about as exciting as a bag chicken feet. I hope the woman ran as fast as she could, just as we all should run from anybody who suggests the Christian faith is about being proper, useful and nice.
It’s about love and amazing grace and the party that follows. If you’re into proper, useful and nice, join a rotary club.
