Dead Lawyer

If you know Jesus, when you die, you’ll be more alive than ever.
It’s an old story about a woman who called the law office and asked for her lawyer.
I’m sorry to tell you this, said the receptionist, but he’s deceased. The woman hung up. She called the next day and asked again for her lawyer. The receptionist said, I told you yesterday, he’s deceased. I know, the woman replied, but I just like to hear you say it.
One time D.L. Moody, the evangelist, said, One day you’ll hear that old D.L. is dead. Don’t you believe it. He will be more alive then than at any other time in his life. He’ll be home. That lawyer, if he knew Jesus, wasn’t dead either, no matter what the receptionist said.
