Death

A famous philosopher was once looking at a pile of bones, he was asked by a rich man, what he was doing.

And the philosopher said, I’m trying to see the difference between your father’s bones and those of his servants. The point, when you’re dead, it doesn’t matter how famous or rich you were, everybody’s the same.

The Bible says that believers should think of themselves dead. That makes it easier to avoid self righteousness and silly comparisons with others. If you’re lonely, it’s a good way to make friends too.
