I’m going to give you an important key to understanding people.

You want to know how guilty someone feels, check how guilty you feel in their presence. Guilty people make others feel guilty. And while we’re talking about it, you should know that free people make others feel free. And if you want to know how free someone is, check how free you feel in their presence.
