I Knew You

I have a psychologist friend who says whenever he asks married clients how long they’ve known each other, their answers are inevitably different.

The wife says she has known her husband longer than he says he has known her. My friend says that that shows that before she met him, she saw him and loved him before she even knew his name.

There may be some truth in that, but there’s something that is always true. Before you were born, God loved you and cherished you. That was before you even knew his name. There’s a strange comfort in that.
