On the Cover

Recently I was looking at the cover of a book I wrote over 25 years ago.

The publisher wanted to do it again. And there was a picture of me on the cover. It was taken when I had hair and no wrinkles. Now it’s a crew cut. The crew has escaped ship. Sorry. And the wrinkles are everywhere.

What happened to that young man? Nothing. He’s still around, bloodied and limping, but he’s still there. God is still faithful, and the young man on the cover? Not always. But God still likes him. A lot. So there.
