Sin & Restoration

I have a friend who says that he and God have a deal.

I like to sin, he says, and God likes to forgive. I don’t think I would have put it that way, but he does have a point. As I understand it, our sins draw us even though they destroy us. One can’t speak as a non-sinner, anymore than one can speak as an outsider of the human race.

And yes, God does like to forgive. But he likes to restore, too. So it really is a good deal. I like to sin less. God is restoring more. Why? Because he likes me. You, too.
