There’s a story that when Joseph Stalin was on his deathbed, he gave two letters to Khrushchev, his successor.

When you’re in trouble with your economic policies, open the first letter, Stalin said. When your life’s on the line and you could be assassinated, open the second. Khrushchev’s economic policies were in trouble, and he opened the first letter and it read, Blame everything on me, and he did. Later in the middle of a power struggle he was in trouble and opened the second one and it read prepare two letters.

Jesus did that for us. The first one says I like you. The second one says I like you a lot.
