The Mainstream

I’m a Bible teacher, and before I teach, I always check the commentaries.

That’s not because I need to find out what to say. I’ve been teaching the Bible longer than some of you have been alive, and I know what to say. I check the commentaries to make sure I don’t say silly things.

I want to stay within the mainstream of the historic Christian church because, well, because that’s where God is. When God says something in his word, he gives it to a bunch. If I’m the only one, I’m probably a heretic. Some people think I am anyway, but I’m not, mostly.
