To Be Remembered

Do you ever wonder how you’ll be remembered?

There’s a story about a well known politician who was recognized in his hometown by an old man who said to him, Son, I’ve seen you a lot on TV and in the newspapers. I reckon you’ve done well for yourself. The politician started to thank him when the old man continued, Son, just remember at your funeral the number of people there will pretty much depend on the weather.

The Psalmist prayed.

Teach us to number our days, that we might be wise.

Good advice. Spend a good deal of time with those who will come to your funeral, even if it rains.
