Someone sent me a different version of John 3:16.

Listen up.

For God so loved the world, that he inspired a certain Jew to inform his contemporaries that there was a great deal to be said for loving one’s neighbor.

Nice thought, but so bland that it makes me want to take a nap.

God said it a whole lot better.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should have eternal life.

Now, that dog will hunt. Hey, anybody here want to live forever? Now you know how.
