	Christians don't trust freedom. We actually prefer the security of rules and self-imposed boundaries, which we then tend to inflict on other Christians. Real freedom, though, means the freedom to do wrong as well as right. Christianity calls us to live beyond the boundaries, bolstered by the assurance that we cannot fall beyond God's love. Each of the book's chapters explores a common pharisaic, freedom-stifling tendency then opens the door to the radical nature of the Gospel. Freedom is dangerous; but the alternative is far worse. Steve’s writing style is unique in the sense that he has the ability to take a confusing subject and bring it home so that everyone can understand what he is attempting to teach. When I read this book a light bulb came on and I find myself picking it up and rereading it time after time. Steve writes like he speaks and I thank God for it!
