Thankfulness

I woke up at 2:30 the other morning and couldn’t see the clock or the nightlight.

I thought I’d gone blind. That was when I realized that the electricity wasn’t working. Mixed with my relief, that being healed of my blindness, I was irritated at the power company for messing up the power.

It’s kind of like your worst enemy going over a cliff in your new Cadillac.

When our thankfulness is mixed with our irritation, we lose the the credit for the thankfulness. That’s what the Bible says. I’m not sure where it says it, but it must say it somewhere.
