The Violin

Jesus and his people are free to make great music.
I love the violin.
A poet once said that he had a violin string and that it was free to move in any direction he wanted it to move. If I push one end, he said it responds. It’s free, but it isn’t free to make music until I attach it to a violin.
That’s true with Jesus too. When you’re bound to him for life, you’re free to sing a song of freedom for the first time. Lots of noise these days, and they call it music.
It’s not, it’s just a cacophony of noise. Jesus, on the other hand, and his people make great music. You can tell the difference.
