Vacuum Evangelism

All we have to do is show up and get close to an unbeliever.
It’s been said that we have a hole in our hearts and that only Jesus can fill it.
I have a friend who, when he heard that, came up with a concept he called vacuum evangelism. He says that when we’re the real deal, all we have to do is to get close to an unbeliever and the vacuum created by their heart’s hole will draw in the reality of Christ.
Of course, that presupposes that you’re willing to show up. In the Bible, Christians are called leaven. If the leaven, to mix the metaphor, never gets in the bread, it’s just, well, a lump of leaven. Yuck!
